The development spans 3 to 7 stories, featuring a blend of ensuite rooms and studios arranged around a central landscaped courtyard with a green roof, study areas, and a gym.

A standout feature is the retention of the 1930s Art Deco façade of the former Playland Amusements Arcade, thoughtfully incorporated as the main entrance to blend heritage with modern design. The reinforced concrete structure, with flexible layouts, is designed for efficiency and adaptability, supporting the fast-paced construction schedule needed to meet the academic intake for summer 2024.

Form Structural Design began work in early 2023, collaborating closely with McAleer & Rushe to ensure timely delivery, with piling works commencing by April 2023. Arcadian exemplifies high-quality, sustainable student accommodation that respects Nottingham’s architectural heritage while catering to modern living.
